Dutch for children
Taalthuis offers an online self-study children’s course (self-study for children) and organizes a face-to-face children’s course (8-12) in Haarlem. The beginner’s course Dutch for children (8-12) is meant for children between the age of 8 and 12 attending groups 5, 6, 7 and 8 who want to expand their knowledge of Dutch. This beginner’s course consists of 8 fun and meaningful lessons for children who wish to learn Dutch and communicate with confidence.
Using specially-designed materials and activities, including songs, story-telling and a variety of educational games the lessons will create an enjoyable and positive learning experience. The course provides a different experience from regular school.

Using a variety of educational exercises and games, including songs to listen to, the lessons will create an enjoyable and positive learning experience. The course provides a different experience from regular school.
The course consists of 8 lessons online and is accompanied by a lesson book. You do the course at your own pace, and you keep access to the e-learning for 3 months.
Summer course for children
Description: This three-day course is meant for children in the age between 8 and 12 who want to expand their knowledge of Dutch. We have a childrens course in Haarlem. The course consists of fun and meaningful lessons full of Dutch games and scavenger hunts, where only Dutch is spoken to increase your child’s vocabulary. It is meant for children who wish to learn Dutch and communicate with confidence.

Three days of fun and interactive lessons and Dutch games. We use our own lesson material and e-learning, to practice together with your child.
Taalthuis teaches Dutch to higher-educated expats, international students and au pairs. More and more parents approached Taalthuis asking whether they could teach their children Dutch. We adapted our teaching method and textbooks to a younger audience and are pleased to offer special courses for children.
