State Exam Tutoring (B1/B2)

Preparation NT2 State Exam I or II

Taalthuis offers tutoring for higher educated students who already are at B1 level to prepare them for the State Exam I or II. There are two State Exam programmes, directed at two different target groups. Both exams consist of four parts, being a Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking exam. You have to pass all four exams in order to get your certificate.

Taalthuis  will prepare you optimally for the NT2 State Exam I or II.  You can sign up for a training of 14 lessons. This is only possible after an intake. After an initial interview, we give an opinion on your chances to be successful for the NT2 State Exam. Admission to the training NT2 State Exam is only possible after a positive opinion.

State Exam Program I

Program I is designed for people who want to find a job in the Netherlands or study in Dutch to a secondary vocational education, the Dutch MBO level 3 or 4. That equates to working at an independent professional or vocational training (level 3) or in middle management or specialised profession (level 4). The NT2 Program I examines candidates at level B1 (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages – CEFR).

Diplomas and Certificates

At the NT2 State Exam four skills are tested: Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking.  
If you’ve passed all four parts of the examination, you will get the NT2 Diploma level B1. If you’ve passed one, two or three parts of the exam, you get a certificate for those parts. When you are finally in possession of all four certificates of Program I you can exchange them for the NT2 diploma level B1.

State Exam Program II

Program II is meant for people who want to work in middle and higher level jobs or want to study in Dutch higher education ( e.g. at a Dutch hogeschool, or university) . The NT2 Program II examines candidates at level B2 (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages – CEFR).
