A special price for au pairs and students
Taalthuis welcomes you as an Au Pair or an International Student. If you want to learn Dutch and learn more about the country you have (temporarily) made your home, we can offer you a discount of 5% on the course fee for all regular courses! If you register as a student, you must be registered at a Dutch institute of education.
The courses at Taalthuis offer you a challenging and fun way to learn the language and get to know other young people. Together with other students with similar goals, you will be able to learn Dutch, make friends and share experiences during enjoyable lessons.
We offer different levels: A special Introduction course for au pairs, which consists of 8 lessons and is a nice start for au pairs who want to learn some basics and want to feel more at home in the Netherlands. If you are native German or Afrikaans, we advise you to choose the Beginners Plus course. Au pairs are also welcome in our other courses:
The Beginners Basic Course is the best choice if you are starting to learn Dutch. That doesn’t mean it is an easy course: you will have to put in the effort to grasp the foundations of the Dutch language.
Our Beginners Plus course is even more challenging: with its fast pace, it is designed exclusively for participants who are native speakers of German or Afrikaans or students who already speak basic Dutch.
E-learning
If you are in an Introduction, Beginners, or Intermediate course, you have access to the e-learning program. On this platform, you can do online exercises, listen to vocabulary and songs and study grammar. You can buy an extra preparation course before the start of your Beginners course and an extra grammar module if you have a higher level.
The online grammar module contains information from the grammar book combined with a lot of exercises, so you can put your knowledge into practice.
